Documents for an eviction matter

Gather these records before you serve a notice or discuss the matter with anyone. A complete file makes the next step faster and clearer.

  • Tenancy contract and any renewals
  • Ejari registration certificate
  • Title deed or other proof of ownership; power of attorney if acting for the owner
  • Owner's passport or Emirates ID copy
  • Rent payment record: cheques, receipts, returned-cheque records
  • Notices already sent, with delivery proof
  • Messages and emails with the tenant
  • A one-page chronology of key dates
